Computer programmer by day, super hero by night... I get bored in my spare time. Instead of turning to a life of crime, or worse, complacently watching TV every night, I thought I'd take up photography. It's always been a semi-interest, and I've almost always had some kind of camera. (A semi-camera for a semi-interest?)
I got my first "real" camera, so I can now take "real" pictures... which is a funny sort of phrase. A picture is just an approximation of light reflected off of real things, "captured" by my camera's digital sensor as that light bounces off one more thing - the atoms of the sensor. From that point on, the original light is gone and it's only through a very complex set of machinations that a completely new set of light waves is arranged (by monitor or ink) into such a pattern that we perceive an approximation of a reproduction of a subset of the light waves that originally bounced off my camera's sensors.
So, enjoy my real approximations, and if you feel the urge, leave some approximations of your real feelings in the comments section.
